With Duncan Rice.
Join Duncan Rice on Saturday and Sunday on the Beach Shala at KwazuluSpirit Fest 2026 and allow yourself to be held by the rhythm of the breath, the grounding of the postures and the quiet power of meditation.
These are more than classes — they are an invitation to return to yourself, to reconnect with your inner stillness and to step into the festival renewed, centred and inspired.
Rooted in ancient Indian tradition, Duncan’s teaching offers a rare blend of authenticity, gentleness and depth. His classes invite you to slow down, reconnect and rediscover the quiet intelligence of your own body and breath.
Duncan Rice has spent many years studying and practising Yoga, with all of his formal Yoga and meditation training taking place in India at some of the oldest and most respected institutions in the world. Yoga is also part of his heritage – his father learnt Hatha Yoga in Kolkata in the 1940s and ’50s and taught throughout his life, remaining vibrant and healthy well into his eighties.
Duncan’s own training includes traditional Hatha Yoga at Kaivalyadhama, the Sivananda institutions, and Kriya Yoga meditation in Rishikesh. He also completed studies in Naturopathy at Ananda Nagar and Ayurveda with Kaivalyadhama. Rooted in ancient teachings, he believes Yoga nurtures the body, mind, intellect and soul. He teaches all levels and has a particular love for exploring how posture and controlling the breath prepare the mind for meditation, which he sees as the heart and ultimate purpose of Yoga.
These special KwazuluSpirit sessions will guide you through the foundational pillars of Hatha Yoga – asana, pranayama and meditation – woven together as a single, transformative experience. Through mindful posture work, you’ll awaken strength, mobility and spaciousness in the body. Through conscious breath control, you’ll learn to steady the nervous system and cultivate inner clarity. And through meditation, you’ll be invited into the stillness that lies beneath the noise of daily life – the place where balance, insight and peace naturally arise.
Duncan teaches with warmth and accessibility, making the practice meaningful for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. His approach honours Yoga as a holistic path, one that rejuvenates mind, body and soul and gently guides us back to our true nature.
Come and experience this extraordinary practice at KwazuluSpirit 2026
