With Anne-Marie Clulow-Visser and Tim Visser.
This musical immersion is a conscious touch and sensory soundscape experience that includes theta & beta waves, solfeggio frequencies, binaural beats, saxophone, scent and vocals.
In past years at the KwaZulu Spirit Festival SENSORIUM has been a highly effective, multi-sensory experience, helping the audience move into deep relaxation with noticeable benefits for the nervous system and vagal toning.
The innovative SECRET SENSORIUM experience in 2026 at the KwaZulu Spirit Festival becomes an even more transformative experience, by using headphones this year.
This organic acoustic therapy with digital brainwave entrainment, takes you into an even deeper relaxation and nervous system healing experience in 2026
Somatic polyvagal relaxation has been scientifically shown to improve sleep, mood, libido and ability to communicate and relate to others.
Headphones also give you acoustic privacy, helping your brain switch off to anything else happening around you, which takes you deeper into this meditative state.
And that’s not all.
In 2026, we are including new music and frequency healing chimes that interpret the internal frequencies and rhythms of plants!
Through new musical recorders and sensors that read the life signals and frequencies of plants, we can convert these recordings into the instrumentation of actual musical notes audible to the human ear.
These recordings include the song of the Banyan Tree, the tree of souls, the walking root trees, and the shrubs and flowers of KwaZulu-Natal.
By including this new music and guided conscious touch, we are using even more of our senses in meditative musical space.
These techniques help us connect to nature and earth and ground us in new ways to the planet, which we all need more than ever with the world events unfolding recently.
This plant music, which we can finally hear adapted to frequencies the human ear can interpret as music, increases the “magic” of this experience.
As Arthur C Clarke said “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”
Scientifically, the true magic of this musical experience lies in its whole-brain synergy. Digital binaural beats work with the brainstem and cortical electrical rhythms, while the organic, acoustic beauty of the human voice and saxophone targets the emotional centre of the limbic system.
Creating effortless resonance through so many more of our senses in such a beautiful, vibrational and deeply relaxed way.
By engaging the brain digitally, acoustically, and emotionally all at once, this sensory experience promotes neuroplasticity—helping to build new, permanent neural pathways that train your nervous system to return to a baseline of peace more easily in the future.
But wait! There’s more!
This year will also include a complimentary conscious circle at the end of the Secret Sensorium immersion to help you integrate your experience, with facilitation provided by Anne-Marie & Tim to guide you back into your body, answer any questions you may have, and take your time after the experience to move back into the rest of the festival’s offerings.
We hope to soothe and regenerate your ability to tap into your own magic, especially if you’ve been running on empty or been stressed beyond your capacity to cope.
This year we hope to remind you of the healing power and magic of expanding conscious awareness into more of the 34 senses.
This year, we hope to help you regenerate and increase your nervous system’s capacity for dealing with the stressors of modern life.
This year, let Secret Sensorium share the magic of sound, breath and conscious touch with you, in an immersive group experience through your somatic senses!
