This quaint self-catering accommodation is situated in the sleepy village of Elysium; halfway between Durban and Margate. The Villa is 30 km from Scottburgh and 15 km from Hibberdene on the Natal South Coast. Petra’s Villa derives its name from Petra in Jordan, both of which are awesome discoveries.
The Villa offers affordable luxury accommodation in all of its units. Featuring beautiful sea views and offers all guests free access to the Roman-style swimming pool, and the units are named after Roman Caesars, Mediaeval Knights, and even an Egyptian Queen.
Seaside Escapes is owned by Paul & Sharon De Beer, ex-Pretorians who bought a holiday house and fell in love with the tranquil seaside village of Mtwalume…. (Mtwalume meaning ‘Tall Upright Trees’) on the South Coast, of Kzn. Seaside Escapes Officially opened in December of 2019.
Paul & Sharon thought it fit to name their Self-Catering SEASIDE ESCAPES as that is exactly what they did. They Escaped to the Seaside. It is the ultimate getaway holiday venue and a perfect choice for holidaymakers & business people.
Seaside Escapes is situated a mere 50m from the beach, 180` frontline Sea View. All the units have a full ocean view.
In total 25 Guests can be accommodated comfortably. Guests will fall asleep with the sound of the waves.
All units are fully equipped with all the home comforts you may require while visiting. You only need to bring along your towels, food & drinks etc. (Lots of holiday spirit) Each unit also has its outside braai.
Seaside Escapes is fully walled and has an electric fence around the property, with a remote-controlled gate. There is also a 24-hour Security Car that rides around the village keeping all safe and well.
The Village has a tidal pool on the main beach, the natural beauty never gets tiring as the tide changes the rock pools and lagoon daily. Sunrise each morning is spectacular and amazing. Mtwalume is a popular spot for fishing, snorkeling & surfing.
The whales can be seen from your verandah or bed as early as June, normally July to November, one can see the Dolphins daily.
The Sardines cause a huge frenzy from June to July each year.
If you love walking, you can stroll along the unspoilt beach. There are small shops for the daily needs. For bigger shopping & fuel you could go to Hibberdene 10kms or Scottburgh 30km.
