Ocean View Cabana is a homely double-storey self-catering log cabin ideal for a holiday by the sea. The log cabin is located in Elysium, between Ifafa and Mtwalume, approximately 30 km south from Scottburgh. Ocean View Cabana is within walking distance of unspoiled beaches and offers panoramic views of the ocean, and all the comforts of home.
Ocean View Cabana can accommodate up to 9 guests and comprises of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area.
The first bedroom is located upstairs and contains a double bed. This room opens to its own balcony with panoramic views. The second bedroom is located upstairs and contains a tri-bunk bed with a double-bottom and a single-top, and an additional double bunk bed. The first bathroom, situated upstairs, features a shower and a bath, toilet, and a washbasin. Please bring your own towels.
The third bedroom is located downstairs and contains a queen-size bed. The second bathroom, also downstairs, contains a large oval bath with a handheld shower attachment, a shower, toilet, and washbasin. Please bring your own towels.
The spacious open-plan modern kitchen, dining and living area are also located downstairs. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with a stove and oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, and dishwasher. The dining area contains an 8-seater dining table and chairs, a ceiling fan, and an additional standing fan. The lounge area features a 6-seater lounge suite and a ceiling fan. The living area opens to a large balcony deck with a beautiful view of the sea, ideal to enjoy your breakfast outside or the beautiful sunrise over the ocean.
The front door and windows are all fitted with slam lock trellis. The cabin is protected by electric fencing and an alarm.

Laughing Forest Bush Lodge is situated in Elysium on KwaZulu-Natal’s South Coast and offers comfortable self-catering or B&B accommodation nestled among coastal dune forest. The tranquility of the resort combined with the sea nearby lends itself to quiet time and long walks on the beach.
The 6-acre property on which the Laughing Forest is situated is home to birds, monkeys, mongooses, and other wildlife. Accommodation is offered in a choice of 5 Family self-catering log cabins and 5 Double Rooms and 2 Twin Rooms, which are scattered among the indigenous bush. Each air-conditioned Family cabin can accommodate 5 guests in 1 double bed, 1 single bed and 1 bunk bed. Each cabin comprises a main en-suite bedroom, and an open-plan kitchen and lounge. The Double or Twin rooms have either twin beds or a double bed, with a bathroom en-suite. These rooms can either include or exclude breakfast. All Double and Twin Rooms share a small kitchen which has a fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery. Braai facilities are also available at these units.
Guests are required to bring their own beach/swimming towels. The resort offers a swimming pool, with a communal braai and fire pit area. TV with Open View is offered only in certain cabins. DSTV is available in the Bar area.
Activities in the area include sea fishing, whale watching, snorkelling, body boarding, surfing, and cycling. It only takes a couple of minutes to walk onto the beach sand. There are tidal pools situated to the east and west of the resort’s location.
